See the bats? (along underside of the tree). When you get close, they move together back-n-forth in a snaking motion - it's bizarre. This is from our boat on the lake during a morning paddle.

Cicada mud tubes were all over the forest floor. The cicadas in the Amazon are so loud at times that it's hard to hear the person next to you talking.

lots of bloomin'
Find the grasshopper.
Of course butterflies of all shapes, colors and sizes are flittin' about everywhere - but it's tough to get a shot.
this almost 5 inch spider is not a tarantula, it's an amazonian wolf spider - much more menacing because they have bigger fangs and tend to jump on you as you walk past them at night.
This big fella was in my room with me that night. I didn't realize it even had wings when it flew out of my hand.
